Mr. Quinn has a long history of managing property assets and consulting on real estate developments. He is available to serve as consultant and project manager for owners of property or for those contemplating acquiring a property. His experience includes the following:
Serving as a partner and Director of Development for Arena Group 2000, Mr. Quinn prepared and had approved by the San Diego City Council the Preliminary Master Plan for a new downtown sports and entertainment facility.
In his role of Executive Director of the San Diego Hall of Champions, Mr. Quinn coordinated the museum’s negotiations with the City of San Diego for a lease of the Federal Building in Balboa Park. He directed the development of the facility and played a key role in the capital campaign to raise the funds for construction. The facility, perhaps the largest and most sophisticated local sports museum in the U.S., opened in 1998.
In his role as consultant for the museum, Mr. Quinn coordinated the site acquisition, conducted negotiations with the City’s redevelopment agency, and oversaw the initial design effort and eventual approval of the project by the City Council. The new museum opened in 2009.
Along with his partners, Mr. Quinn directed the funding, development, and start up operations of a self-storage business in Madrid, Spain. Although at the start of the endeavor most Spaniards were unaware of the self-storage concept, Mr. Quinn’s company has opened three successful facilities that now have more than 1,000 tenants.
Along with China, India, and Russian, Brazil is recognized as one of the top four growth markets in the world. Mr. Quinn and two other U.S. based partners with many years of experience in developing homes have formed a joint venture with a developer in Curitiba. This city of more than 2 million residents is a prosperous metropolitan area supported by the area’s enormous agriculture as well as a high concentration of automobile manufacturing plants. The joint venture’s first project, a ten-unit entry level housing project, has been completed and sold.
During the 1980’s Mr. Quinn served as the asset manager for a Midwestern savings and loan. Since then he has continued as a manager of income properties, developer work-outs, and liquidations. He has helped many owners realize maximum return on their holdings. Along with his partner in JK Investment Properties, Mr. Quinn currently manages the assets of the partnerships he has formed.
